Several officers from MPD's Sex Crimes Branch attended the April 10 monthly PSA 102 meeting to brief residents and answer questions about an April 4 sexual assault reported in the alley near the 1300 block of G Street NE. MPD Sgt. Hill said officers were following several leads in the case, as well as reviewing the public sex offender registry.

No additional public safety issues exists at this time, said Hill, but pointed out residents must always be vigilant and aware of one's surroundings anywhere in the city.

MPD will communicate any additional developments in the case via listserv and during the May 8 PSA 102 meeting.

As of early April, 26 registered sex offenders were listed as living or working in PSA 102. Search the District of Columbia's Sex Offender Registry.
